The hyperscalers jumped on the MCP train quickly. So what exactly can you do armed with MCP servers for the major clouds? ⛅️


My latest rundown for InfoWorld looks at what’s possible using official MCP servers from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, and IBM Cloud.


Using natural language commands via agents, there's a lot you'd probably expect, like automating documentation and service information retrieval to give engineers more context.


Some tools go well beyond that, with more powerful write capabilities such as spinning up servers, adjusting configurations, and retrieving production metadata for debugging.


Aside from AWS and Azure, which feel more mature than the others on this list, many offerings are still in experimental phases, so take it with a grain of salt.
